The course will delve into the similarities and differences between these modalities, examining their theoretical foundations, key concepts, and practical applications in clinical settings.
Wendy, an experienced EST practitioner, will provide insight into how Ego State Therapy views the multiplicity of the self, particularly in the context of trauma and dissociative disorders. Joanne Twombly, author of Trauma and Dissociation Informed Internal Family Systems, will present from the IFS perspective, sharing strategies for working with internal parts in a compassionate and integrative manner. Together, they will highlight how working with parts can be used to enhance the therapeutic process, allowing clinicians to address clinical issues, especially complex trauma and dissociative symptoms with safer and more efficient effectiveness.

Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the intersection between these two approaches, learning specific strategies that can be applied to clinical practice to foster healing and resolve internal conflicts. The course will also provide opportunities for discussion, case examples, and demonstartions to enrich learning and expand clinical skills in working with parts of the self.
