Course Description

Learn in the morning and enjoy the pool or an excursion to Secret Beach in the afternoon where cocktails are served in the water! (Just like the picture taken from my visit last year there.)

This immersive training introduces clinicians to the intriguing power of ideomotor movement by using trance to facilitate "yes," "no," or "I can't answer" responses to access inner wisdom, facilitate deep exploration, and gently guide clinical treatment. When clients are invited to respond through unconscious movement, they often experience reduced anxiety, increased clarity, and a deeper sense of safety and control.

Rooted in Lemke’s P-Principles—Pacing, Permission, Purpose,  Priming, Physiology, Pendulation, Perspective, and Protection, this course offers a trauma-informed framework for using ideomotor techniques to communicate with the unconscious system of self. Learn how to harness the power of this hypnotic method to slow down excessive verbal processing, access parts that struggle to speak, and direct therapy in a way that honors each client’s unique pace and capacity for regulation.

Whether working with internal conflict, dissociation, or complex trauma, ideomotor signaling can transform therapy into a more focused, respectful, and collaborative process which will guide you and your clients to safely access solutions from the self for the self.

About the Location

san Pedro.jpg

I travel often and spent approximately 2 weeks here last winter and fell in love with the and the people so knew I'd be back. For me, it was easy to get to with a non-stop 4.5 hour Delta flight from Mpls and then a hopper flight to the island and it is Central Time Zone.  I loved being able to scoot around the island on a golf cart and I stayed at a few wonderful places but there are many! My preference is for the North Island but still close to town. Secret Beach is a wonderful day venture but I wouldn't want to stay that far out. (It is a bumpy golf cart ride!)  Given you'll likely be traveling by golf cart unless right in town and prefer to walk, I'd recommend not staying too far from town. The further out you get the rougher the ride. (Consider packing a sports bra!)  Our meeting location will (LIKELY) be at the Sunbreeze (I haven't visited the space and hoping for the best with their reviews).  I also love the Sunset Caribe and Grand Caribe (their meeting space was too expensive!). The Sunset is on the bay side but wonderful amenities if you're just going to be in the pool anyway. It also has good afternoon sun. When I was there, it wasn't very busy. Many of the rooms are privately owned. The Grand Caribe is on the ocean side across the street from the Sunset and beautiful. (I believe those at Sunset have access to the Grand facilities too but not sure about that---so check it out before you book if that is of interest.)  I'll post more about my favorite restaurants and other recommendations once registered. Please do your own research though as everyone has different travel preferences.  Reach out to me if any questions: wendylemkelp@gmail.com

The cost is for the course only. Your travel plans and accomodations are your responsibility. Depending on interest and registration, I may look into some 'add on' options for the group and I'll certainly share some of my favorite places/excursions with you.  I hope to see you in beautiful Belize!!!

TRAVEL TO THE ISLAND:

The ferry is about 1/2 hr from airport by taxi, and a fun intro to the Caribbean, about 1 1/2 hr trip. Tropic and Maya Island Air are 12-seater planes that fly directly from Philip Goldson to San Pedro, take about 15 minutes and they have several flights a day.  I prefer the flights due to the convenience and time.

COURSE CANCELLATION, PRICING AND BOOKING

I plan to be in Belize whether I teach or not and will hold the course with a minimum of 8 registrants but hoping for a lot more. If I don't have the minimum by January 1st, I will cancel the course.  For now, you can hold your spot with $100 refundable deposit with non-refundable balance due by 1-1-26.  To reserve a spot, scroll to end of page. You'll be billed for full amount once we have the minimum registered.

Golf Cart Rental

There are many places to rent from besides your hotel, just make sure you do your research. I can't remember the place I rented from last year but there are some that are great and some that are not so great!
